Christoph Strasser
Christoph Strasser has been one of the most successful athletes in road ultracycling for two decades. Since 2005, he has competed in ultra-distance cycling marathons, progressing from 24-hour races to the world's biggest long-distance races.
His career is closely linked to the Race Across America. Nine participations, six victories, and the still-standing course record from 2014 define his career. Equally important for him were setbacks that exposed his weaknesses and further honed his systematic and risk-aware approach.
After successes in races like the Race Around Austria and 24-hour records on the track and road, Christoph consciously chose a new path. Switching to unsupported bikepacking races meant taking full responsibility for his own equipment, navigation, and repairs. He has now completed the Transcontinental Race four times and considers it the most demanding form of ultra-cycling for him.
Christoph is convinced that Cyclite perfectly embodies this philosophy. The bags are lightweight, aerodynamic, and robust. Furthermore, their regional origin and the personal interaction with the team are of paramount importance to him.
Mindset: "I am driven by big goals. Mistakes are part of the process; what's crucial is accepting them and solving problems pragmatically."
