Try out the CYCLITE bikepacking bags virtually on your bike before buying - simply with your smartphone. Thanks to augmented reality you can easily view the bags on your bike and check if they fit.
what you need
1. AR-enabled smartphone, with a good camera and internet access:
· IPhone: iPhone 6s or later with iOS 12 or later;
· Android: With ARCore support and at least Android 7.0
2. Sufficient space with good light.
3. The bike for which the bag is intended.
If you meet these requirements, nothing stands in the way of the virtual bikepacking bag fitting.
1. Preparation
Place your bike sideways against a wall so that the top tube runs as parallel as possible to the wall.
The handlebar should be on your left as you face it.
Take a few steps backwards to gain sufficient distance from the bike. There should be no other object between you and the bike.
Now everything is ready. Have fun!
2. Start 3D BAG FIT
Visit the product page of the desired bag and click on '3D VIEW' below the product image.
Select the color, then click 'SHOW ON BIKE (AR)'.
Your camera app will open and the bag will be virtually placed on the bike in its original size-
Make sure to keep the camera on the bike as you move to ensure correct placement.
3. Position bag
To position the virtual bag, simply drag it to the desired location on the bike with one finger.
The bag may sit slightly in front of the bike, but that's not a problem.
However, be careful not to change the size of the bag with two fingers. Use only one finger at a time to adjust the position.
This way you can effortlessly find the intended position of the bag on the bike and make an informed decision.
Limitations
Please note that the tool relies on your smartphone's augmented reality feature and may not always work perfectly.
Sometimes, for example, there may be difficulties in positioning the virtual bag correctly, e.g. because the wall behind the bike is not recognized. With a little practice, you can still pull the bag onto the bike, or you can restart the tool.
